The standard we are holding ourselves to is clear: every connection verified, and every first hello safe.
At launch, a government photo ID confirms a real adult, stored securely to keep your 21+ verification on file. The standard is clear: no bots, no catfish, no minors.
At launch, identity and a basic background screening run through an independent safety partner, not us alone, re-checked yearly, so safety is never just a solo founder's word.
First hellos happen in the open: the entrance or a central, visible spot inside the venue, never anywhere isolated. At festivals, connect through the app on location.
At launch, sync your contacts and anyone you never want to cross is quietly excluded: never matched, never shown, never placed with you. Add a name as a fallback. Private to you, and they are never notified.
Block someone and they are blocked immediately and never told who reported. Report an incident to our safety team by email, and serious reports go to the authorities.

No. The shows are real events that artists and venues are already putting on. Same.Wav is the connection layer on top. We bring a verified group of people to a show that is already happening, so you can meet your people in a room that is already alive. You buy your ticket the way you normally would.
The connection. Your membership gives you the matching, the verified community, and entry into the matching pool at the events you attend. We are the liaison that helps you find your people in the room. We are not selling you the concert, we are selling you the chance to actually meet someone there.
A $15 once a year background check keeps every member verified and safe. From there you choose Premium at $37 a month or Ultimate at $67 a month, with event matching built in. New members can start with a one month Premium trial, the $15 background check still applies.

You must be 21 or older and able to form a binding contract. You must verify your identity and age to connect with others.
Same.Wav helps members connect at live events. A $15 per year background check fee covers identity and background verification and makes you a verified Wader. New members may start with a one month Premium trial; the $15 verification fee still applies and is not waived. You become a matchable attendee (a Diver) for an event by purchasing that event’s ticket through Same.Wav, which adds a small connecting fee and enters you into matching for that event. Same.Wav is not a background-check service, a security service, or a guarantor of anyone’s safety or identity. We provide tools that reduce risk; they do not eliminate it.
When fully active, we verify age and identity, run a basic background screening, and offer no-roster matching, mutual opt-in reveal, Off My Wav exclusion, Safe Sound, blocking, and incident reporting. Basic screening checks records available to our partner and cannot catch everyone, including a first-time offender, someone with a clean record, or a person whose identity cannot be confirmed. Off My Wav can only exclude someone we can identify on Same.Wav, and we cannot control who enters a public venue. You are responsible for your own choices when meeting anyone in person.
You can block a member immediately in the app, and report an incident to our safety team by email. We act on reports we receive and block named members immediately. We do not promise individual review of every report, and the app is never a substitute for emergency services. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
Be truthful in verification. Do not impersonate anyone, harass, threaten, stalk, or harm other members, or use Same.Wav for illegal activity. Do not misuse Off My Wav, incident reports, or any safety tool. One account per person. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or threaten community safety.
The $15 annual background check fee, the per ticket connecting fee, and Premium and Ultimate subscriptions are charged through our payment processor. Tickets are sold by third party ticketing partners through affiliate links; Same.Wav is not the seller and is not responsible for the ticket, event, or venue. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Same.Wav, its name, logo, and content are owned by SameWav LLC. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the platform or its matching and verification methods.
You understand that meeting any person, online or in person, carries inherent risk, and you are solely responsible for your interactions with other members and anyone you meet through Same.Wav. Same.Wav does not conduct full criminal background checks, and does not vouch for, endorse, or guarantee the identity, intentions, safety, conduct, or suitability of any member. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risk associated with meeting, communicating with, or attending events with others, including risk of bodily harm, emotional harm, property loss, or death. You agree to take ordinary precautions: meet in public, tell a trusted person where you are, arrange your own transportation, and leave any situation that feels unsafe.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release SameWav LLC, its owners, members, officers, employees, contractors, and partners (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, damages, losses, and causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of or related to your use of Same.Wav, your interactions with other members or third parties, your attendance at any event, or the conduct of any member or third party. This release does not apply to liability that cannot be released by law, including gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of Same.Wav, your conduct, your interactions with others, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another person.
Same.Wav is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that matches will be compatible or safe, or that any member is safe, suitable, law-abiding, or who they claim to be.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, personal injury, emotional distress, or death arising from the acts of any member or third party. The total aggregate liability of the Released Parties for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Same.Wav in the prior twelve months or one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting hello@samewav.app and allowing thirty (30) days. If unresolved, you and Same.Wav agree that disputes will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration rather than in court (except small-claims and injunctive relief for IP or safety), and both parties waive any right to a jury trial. Disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity, not as part of any class or representative proceeding. Arbitration and class-waiver terms will be finalized with counsel.
We may suspend, limit, or terminate your account at any time if we believe you violated these Terms or pose a risk. The assumption-of-risk, release, indemnification, disclaimer, liability, and dispute sections survive termination. We may update these Terms and will post the new version with an updated date.
Account and profile (name, email, date of birth, taste and quiz answers); identity verification (a government photo ID, stored securely to keep your 21+ verification on file); basic background screening results; Off My Wav data (matched against your phone contacts with permission, with a manual name fallback stored securely and used only to exclude that person); presence and location at events; payment data via a third party processor (we do not store full card numbers); and standard usage and device data.
To verify you are a real, consenting adult; to match you privately and only when you both choose; to operate safety features; to process payments and ticketing; to keep the community safe; and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
With service providers (identity/safety partner, payment processor, hosting, ticketing affiliates) only as needed; with other members only what you choose to reveal after a mutual connection; and with venue security or authorities where needed for a serious safety incident or to comply with law. We never share your Off My Wav list with the people on it, and never notify them.
We keep verification IDs and screening status while your account is active and minimize them after closure unless law requires longer. Sensitive data such as IDs and Off My Wav entries are encrypted and access-restricted. No system is perfectly secure. You can access, correct, or delete your information by emailing hello@samewav.app, manage contacts and Off My Wav in the app, and close your account at any time. Same.Wav is strictly for adults 21 and older; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21.
